Happy Birthday Mae!

Today was a good day. We had pancakes with candles, Skyped with Grandma and Poopah in Armenia, played on the beach at Sand Hollow Reservoir and then barbequed with my Southern Utah sisters and their families.

Somewhere in there we forgot to wrap and give Mae her presents. Have I mentioned before how grateful I am that we moms have a few years of practice before our kids really know what's going on and what we're forgetting?

Either way, I think Mae felt loved. She and Eva were so excited to wake up and find balloons and a birthday banner hanging up. And they'll love opening presents tomorrow :)

This was when everyone was singing to her. Happy as can be!

Eva and her BFF-Cousin Tiari

Mae is the youngest cousin (for now) on my side and she is so loved as the baby of the family. Mae is such a joy. So easy to please and so much fun. She is good at making Eva laugh and they are playing well together lately. Happy Birthday Mae!

And while I'm at it, Happy Birthday to my nephew Jake! And sister Liz yesterday!

Casey and I celebrated also our 8th anniversary on Tuesday. Holy Cow! I didn't feel like doing the dinner and a movie thing so we went mountain biking that night and it was so fun.

I don't really do the mush on my blog but I do love my man!
Yes, I wear a dorky skateboarding helmet when I bike.

Dude! I love that you went mountain biking. I hate the dinner and a movie thing, too. But I can never think of anything too creative, either. But usually I'm content to just be alone with Jed. If I can find a babysitter I consider it a success.

And happy birthday to your little one. You have such cute kids.

Ha ha! Dorky skateboarding helmet. Just kidding. A helmet's a helmet. People probably saw your helmet and thought, "Whoa, there's some chick who skates, but she also mountain bikes. Double gnarly, dude".
Your kiddos are cute as buttons. Double gnarly cute buttons.
