A Defining Moment

What is your ten word biography?

My friend Kate posted about this awhile ago and it's been on my mind. This kind of thing is difficult for me. I'm still wondering how to define myself in this stage of life. I've only been a mother for 2 years and 8 months, and I was not a mother a lot longer than that. So I'm trying to figure out who mom Kelly is and how she relates to the Kelly I was before.

But, after some deep thought–and even though I fear it will sound generic–this is what it all comes down to for me:

I am God's daughter. I'm trying to become like Him.

* I keep going back and forth between the words "be" and "become." Ultimately I want to become like Him, but I want to try daily to be like Him.

You are doing a really great job at trying to become like him. We all can learn a lot from you.

Mom said: "It's all about loving God, creating, serving, learning..." (and that's only eight words so there's room to add "and chocolate", but that sounds too irreverent)
